Introduction

Hidden in the trees of the beautiful Cowichan Valley, we crafted Setri as a place to replenish and heal yourself in a natural, tranquil setting.

The therapeutic use of alternating extreme heat and cold is an ancient practice going back thousands of years, originating in Nordic countries, such as Finland (Setri is “Cedar” in Finnish). Hot and cold contrast is proven to deliver health benefits to nourish both the body & mind, and can induce states of deep serenity, and a great sense of joy.
