The Cowichan Valley Museum, in the historic Duncan Train Station, makes the valley’s multicultural history come alive!

Learn about Coast Salish people, who have lived here since time immemorial, and their interactions with the first settlers. Visit the General Store and its wide variety of goods from the 1950s. Discover two former multicultural gems: Duncan’s Chinatown, and Paldi, home to a lumber mill with residents from India, China, Japan, and more. The museum’s settler display authentically shows what life was like 100 years ago.
