Experience the unique culture of bluegrass and Appalachian old-time music with three days of performances, jam sessions, dances, workshops and much more. The 2024 Cowichan Valley Bluegrass Festival features acclaimed Grammy-winning fiddle player Michael Cleveland and an impressive array of talent from the United States and Canada.
All-ages event with 17 and under free with a paid adult. Free day parking. Free music workshops. Friday night honky tonk dance with the Caleb Klauder-Reeb Willms Country Band. Saturday night square dance with B.C.’s The Black Rabbit Rounders. Also former Grammy nominee Missy Raines and Allegheny (Nashville), Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band (California); The Unfaithful Servants (Victoria, B.C.) and more.
The festival creates a unique 24-7 village atmosphere where people listen to, learn and share bluegrass and Appalachian “old-time” music in the oral traditions from which it sprang. You won’t want to miss this!
