Cow Bay Regatta 2024

The 43rd annual sailing regatta in Cowichan Bay is coming on the August BC Day long weekend. In 2024, the regatta will host the Martin 242 fleet for their North American Championship and the Multihull (catamaran/trimaran) Pacific Northwest Championship.
Cowichan Bay is renowned for fabulous summer sailboat racing due to its highly predictable thermal wind, as the Cowichan Valley heats up each morning and pulls the cooler air from the ocean into the valley. The wind typically arrives around 11 am and provides a steady 8-15 knots until the early evening.
