The Duncan Farmers Market is a weekly event featuring local vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, and more.
In addition to these annual events, Cowichan also hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, such as farmers’ markets, street festivals, and cultural celebrations. With over a dozen wineries, Cowichan has been recognized as an official wine producing region by the BC Wine Authority.
With a unique terroir crafting plenty of award winning wines, there are ample events throughout the year to celebrate and indulge. Averill Creek Vineyards Noir Fest takes place June 24 & 25, hosting 14 makers from 8 different sub-regions, one top-chef and all the pinot noir! The Cowichan Valley Wine Festival hosts the Sunset Soiree on July 27, and a self-guided tour of 12 wineries with a tasting passport throughout the month of August.
