Overview
Cowichan is a world-class mountain biking destination, home to more than 170 trails sprawling over 180 kilometres of varying difficulty. Our warm climate makes Cowichan one of the only regions in BC that boasts year-round mountain bike riding.
The majority of these trails can be found on four different mountains: Mount Tzouhalem, Cobble Hill, Mount Prevost, and Maple Mountain. There is also the new Fairservice Fun trail network to check out at Lake Cowichan. For those of us drawn more to a slow Sunday cycle, taking in trestles, fields, and open sky, the 134km-long Cowichan Valley Trail is an easy but spectacular way to uncover the region.
From downhill mountain biking, to leisurely cycling, to multi-day bikepacking trips, there is something for everyone. To learn more about all of Cowichan’s mountain biking trails, visit Ride Island.
