Homebody Collective Art Show
July 26 @ 10:00 am – August 4 @ 4:00 pm
Homebody is an all women collective of contemporary artists seeking to explore the theme of Home and what is means to create & honour this feeling within ourselves.
The artists:
Vivian Sofia is a mixed media illustrator, painter and ceramist based on the West Coast. With a focus on decorative ceramic pieces, her work brings nature to life with her hand painted flowers and botanically-inspired work.
Annabelle Bail is a Nanaimo based artist whose work touches on the exploration of identity and queerness, illustrating semi-abstract bodies layered with instinctive line work in mixed media drawings, digital collages, paintings or ceramics.
Amelie Blanchard is a Nanaimo based art therapist, mixed media artist and graphic designer. Originally from Montreal/Kanien’keha, she now lives and works on Snuneymuxw territory. Her art is how she makes sense of her inner and outer world as a woman, her connection to nature and spirituality.
There will be an opening event on Saturday July 27, 2 PM – 5 PM.
