Introduction
Sandy Pool Regional Park is well known throughout the Cowichan Valley for its sandy beach and great swimming holes in the Cowichan River. This park has over a kilometre of walking trails that lead through the forests with interpretive signage.
The Park is highly used in the summer months as a destination for tubing down the river and is a popular swimming spot on the Cowichan River. The river is a prominent feature of the Valley and is known as one of British Columbia’s best trout fishing areas with one of three drift boat launch sites available. The other two launch sites are located in the Cowichan River Provincial Park.
